Describe your day-to-day routine as a mom and grandmah.
Up by 6 for prayers & later breakfast (nescafe!). I’ll then watch or go for my routine morning tazkirah. Most afternoon will be cucu’s time after fetching him from play school. Night time will be husband time.
How would you describe your motherhood journey?
Early years are a bit challenging, juggling work and kids on your own when husband is constantly away for work. Alhamdulillah it gets better as you become wiser and smarter.
What was the one thing that you wished you knew before becoming a mom?
Wished I acquired more parenting knowledge so that I could be a better mother 🙂
How has your style changed since becoming a mom?
What do you love most about being a mom?
Being called MAMA.
What’s your favourite thing to do with your child?
Having 2 daughters means being able to be girlfriends who share and talk about everything
What surprised you the most about being a mom?
We become this super-powered energetic woman
What is the one thing about your mom that you love most?
Home-cooked food from breakfast till dinner
If you could do anything for your child, what would it be?
To be the person that they would refer to for anything
What has motherhood taught you?
We need to give love then we can be loved, lots of patience & respectful towards others
What do you want your kids to remember about you?
Besides Allah, the one mother that will always love them till Jannah
Did you have any traditions with your mom that you now share (or would like to share) with your child?
I do not have much of my mom’s cooking & sewing skills, but I’m surely glad to see the creative skills are passed down to my daughters.
