Thankyouthankyouthankyou to every single person that squeezed in some time to visit us at the Little People Market last Saturday! Talking and meeting with our customers are mainly the reason why we join these markets in the first place. We were so full with love at the end of the day 🙂 OH AND to see some of you that brought your kids dressed in Whimsigirl attire, that was just cherry on top!
Ariana spent her weekend with us wearing her Tompok pho top!
We’re always finding illogical ways to squeeeeze into some Whimsigirl pieces, but to no avail. Like as if anything’s changed since the last time we tried on those fitted 6Y top and was stuck, zzzz. So, we thought of just designing one item that us adults can finally own (and wear).
Say hellooooo to our tote bag with our very own Belang and Tompok print from the Spring/Summer ’15. It has a long handle which makes it perfect for slinging over the shoulder, but not TOO long that it reaches the floor when you hold it down.
A little heads up! The totes will only be available for purchase for ONE DAY only at The Little Market, Hello Deer this Saturday, from 12-8pm. So if you’re in need of a good shopping tote, anddd if you would like to squeeze in some Whimsi time during that period, we would love to say hi to you lovelies 🙂
We shot our first ever Spring / Summer 2015 last year, so imagine having to keep this whole thing a secret for 6 whole months! Now that the collection is out (the first drop is available here), I can finally let you in on the action 🙂
The shoot went on smoothly partly because of our friend and photographer, Nadirah Zakariya, was a dream to work with. It’s super important for us to have someone that works great with kids, and she’s exactly that
The concept behind Passage Through Malaya was inspired by the movie The Darjeeling Limited as well as travelling throughout Malaysia (imagine wild animals, a map, old trains, and polaroids). Even though we tried to be as organized as we could, but you can only plan SO much when it comes to 10 little chickadees, right?!
Not to sound like a creepy crawly, but seriously, CALL US AND WE’LL BABYSIT FOR YOUR CHILD 🙂
Never. a. dull. moment. That’s for sure.
To incorporate the travelling concept into the shoot, we made a blown-up bus/ train tickets like how you would find them in the 90s
Behind every good
man picture, is a great woman team. The enthusiastic parents and aunties that were shouting, jumping, making alll sorts of noises and hand gestures just to get the kids to respond accordingly; THEY’RE the real heroes 🙂
Hands down, the coolest girl in town wearing the Kriketa
This little rice ball fits our Forest Hast Tuah Playsuit quite nicely. He was squeezed left and right by everyone. That’s what you get for being so pudgy!!
FAST FORWARD TO THE NEXT WEEK : choosing of the images. Tis so hard to choose ONE final image out of hundreds of good ones! Gosh, Nadhirah. Why you got to be so good 😉
You can shop the first drop of the Spring/Summer ’15 collection here.
WE WERE IN NEW YORKKKKKK!!! fuh. okay needed to get that out of the system because it was so surreal! We got the amazing opportunity to join Playtime NY last weekend and it was an absolute experience. The show + the city + the people + being there during winter, it was just !!! all the way
One of the boards that we brought from KL broke i half when we got there, of course. So we had to go to the nearest hardware store and bring it to our hotel. i know it looks like a thin paper, but TRUST ME, it is heavier than it actually looks -_-
The three days at Playtime were filled with meeting new faces, talking to familiar brands that we looked up to, as well people that we shamelessly stalked online! Everyone was sharing on how they broke into the industry and was open in giving good advices to us newbies 🙂 So many inspirations all around
Even though work was still there, but Hannah and I were always sneaking some time to see the city!
